All India Radio - Madras Day programmes

On August 22 over FM RAINBOW, 107.1 MHz
7 am with 'Old But Gold' featuring recordings of interviews with VIPs and tid-bits on Madras.

From 8 am to 9 am, 'Enakku Romba Pidichirukku' will be aired.
This programme will air the views of 'outsiders'; includes live phone-in interaction with travellers at Chennai Airport and railway stations.

From 10 am to 11 am, 'Madras and Banking' programme consists of an interview with the Chairman of State Bank of India on special banking aspects in Chennai.

From 11 am to noon, 'Madras Masala', features special recipes of Madras and an interview with famous hoteliers of the city.

From noon till 1pm, interview with the Chief General Manager, BSNL- Chennai Telephones, about the developmental activities of BSNL Chennai Telephones.

At 1 pm, 'Madrasai Muzhusa Parpoma' is an interaction with tourists and will be aired for an hour.

From 2 pm till 3 pm 'Madras Speaks' carries phone-in conversations with listeners in what is known as the 'Madras Baashai'.

From 5 pm to 7 pm, 'Manasukku Piditha Madras Marina' features a live interaction with people at the Marina.

M-Time - Madras Time a phone-in talk show in English with listeners and VIPs, follows.

At 9 pm there will be an hour long 'Madras Quiz'' anchored by Sumanth C. Raman.

Finally, from 10 pm till 11 pm there will be a programme titled 'Marakka Mudiyuma - Madras Pattriya Paadalgal.
