Mobile Phone Cam Photo Contest

If you own a camera mobile phone and love clicking pictures, this contest is for you. 

The competition, open to all, is hosted by Univercell, the city's leading mobile phone retailer chain, on the occasion of the Madras Day.

Guidelines for the contest:

1. The theme of your photo should be on Chennai. It could be a shoot of a heritage house, a historic monument, interesting scenes such as a flower sellers at a street corner, a Idly shop! A scene which reflects Chennai.

2. Pictures can be shot using any make / model camera mobile phones.
For judging, the theme of the photo you submit will take priority over the picture quality.

3. The photos taken through the camera mobile phones must be e-mailed to the e-mail - contest@univercell.in with a caption for your picture. If you have photographed a landmark or a building, tell us where the building is.

When you mail the entry also give the following details:
a. Name of the participant
b. Mobile phone model name
c. Where was the phone bought
d. Mobile phone number
e. Complete Postal Address

4. Entries without the above details will be not eligible for the contest.

5. If you do not have access to email, you may take a print of the photo and mail it to

6. Each participant can send only one entry. (So take many photos but select your best and mail!)

7. Last date for submission of photos : August 27, 2006

8. The photos will be judged by a jury. First, second, third and two other commendable entries will be awarded prizes.

9. The decision of the organisers is final.

10. Prize winning photos and other interesting photos will be displayed on this website after the contest winners are announced.

10. All the photos submitted for the contest will be used for archival purposes by the organisers. The entries submitted in prints will not be returned.
