Early 20th Century Reminiscences of Gurusamy Mudaliar, a close associate of Robert Chisholm who pioneered the Indo-Saracenic style in Madras, and the Survey Office group photographs.
Inauguration on Aug. 16 at 4.30 p.m. followed by a talk on Robert Chisholm by Sriram V.

SMILES for Madras – Madras SMILES for the World

Aug. 16 to 26. At Goethe Institut, Max Mueller Bhavan.

Organised by Goethe Institute.
Several hundred prominent people all over the world have so far sent a smile, as a photograph or a drawing, for an exhibition for children’s hospitals in different parts of the world. The Goethe Institut smiles for Madras by inviting everyone to come to its venue and deliver a personal ‘Smile’ as a drawing in his or her own hand or by a painter. Alternatively, we can arrange to photograph your smile when you visit. The pictures will be collected and sent to Poland to be part of one of the exhibitions going round the world.
