'Madras Maridichi' - PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

The city of Madras, now Chennai has undergone a lot of changes over the years. The lifestyle, landscape, the culture, all are changing, but the old co-exists with the new in the city!

On the occasion of the Madras Day, a photography contest on the theme 'Madras Maridichi' (Madras has changed!) is being hosted by 'Ambitions 4 Photography Academy', Chennai.

The photos should reflect the changing face of city of Chennai, the contrast between the old and the new, or the existence of the old with the new.

Rules of the contest:
1. This contest is open to all.
There are two categories: juniors (age not more than 20 years as on July 31, 2007 ) and seniors (above 20 years). Juniors must attach proof of age. e.g.:- school certificate.
2. The photos should be original works and should be only in colour.
3. The size of the photo print should be 8" by 12" only.
4. A participant can send a maximum of only two photos.
5. The photos should have a caption, description of the scene and your name, address and contact info.
6. The prints are to be submitted with a note on A4 size paper containing your

7. Last date for submission: August 25, 2007

Prizes for best three photographs will be awarded in each category.
Winners names will be displayed on the website (www.themadrasday.in) on Aug. 25.
Judges will look for entries that capture the recent changes/developments happening in Madras in all respects.
The decision of the organisers is final.

Interesting photos will be displayed at a venue of Madras Day events. Photos submitted for the contest will be used for archival purposes by the organisers and will not be returned.
