For generations, The Hindu newspaper’s archives have catalogued newspapers, photographs, and historical records that have shaped the city’s cultural identity. Today, those archives come alive in a photo exhibition titled – Madras on Stage.
An exhibition of rare photographs that celebrates Chennai’s public culture through performances and everyday spaces.
The photos are of not only the city’s drama, music, dance and art shows from the 1950s but also of international stars and artistes who performed here.
