Most of us think of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the Indian Math genius, each year only on 22nd December, his birthday since the Government of India has declared this day as the National Mathematics Day. Let us break tradition on this Madras Day! Let us examine this mathematician’s extraordinary life and explore the role played by our city in it. We will also visit the Ramanujan Museum and Math Education Centre set up by Mr. P. K. Srinivasan, a Maths teacher and a great admirer of Ramanujan.
