Art Exhibition: Madras Chennai inspired themes.
InKo Centre, located in the Boat Club zone, R. A. Puram is marking Madras Day with an exhibition titled LEGACIES – Memory, Traditions, Culture: Madras to Chennai. The show showcases eight artists based in Chennai who draw inspiration from the city but engage with issues that are universal and transnational in nature. This exhibition is part of the artistic conversations that InKo has nurtured over the years with artists in India and Korea, and the community has regularly shared best practices in the field of visual art.
These are the artists whose paintings are featured at this show – Dilip Kumar Kesavan, Karthikeyan Pitchaimallian, Kirubakaran, N. Preethi Umapathy, Rajesh R. V. Ramesh, V.R. Raviram and Sathya N Prabhu
The show opens on August 27 evening. Venue: The Gallery @ InKo Centre. On display until Tuesday, September 22
